# Notifications (https://docs.apparelai.app/account/notifications)

Generations can take a little while. ApparelAI can tell you when your photos are ready, so you can work in another tab or app in the meantime. On the web, it uses your browser's notifications. In the iOS and Android apps, it uses push notifications. Both are optional.

## On the web [#on-the-web]

### Turn on browser notifications [#turn-on-browser-notifications]

When you start a generation, such as a [Bulk Photoshoot](/photoshoots/bulk-photoshoot), ApparelAI may show a box titled **Get notified when it's ready**. It says: "Generations can take a little while. Allow notifications and we will let you know the moment your photoshoot is ready, even if you are working in another tab."

Your browser then asks whether ApparelAI can show notifications. Allow it there too.

If you click **Cancel** instead, ApparelAI won't ask again for about 15 days.

### What you're notified about [#what-youre-notified-about]

**A photoshoot is ready.** The notification comes from **ApparelAI** and says "Your photoshoot is ready. Click to view." You only get it when the ApparelAI tab is in the background. If you're looking at the tab, the result opens there.

**A bulk photoshoot changes status.** The notification shows the batch name (or "Bulk photoshoot"), the new status and "Click to view." For example: "My bulk photoshoot: Your bulk photoshoot is ready. Click to view." Click it to open the batch.

| Status | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| Your previews are ready for approval. | The first photo of each product is ready. Approve them to continue with the other poses. |
| Paused: add credits, then resume your photoshoot. | The batch ran out of credits. Add credits, then resume it. |
| Your bulk photoshoot is ready. | All the photos are done. |
| Your bulk photoshoot finished with some failed photos. Review the results. | The batch finished, but some photos failed. |
| Your bulk photoshoot needs attention. Review the failed photos. | Photos failed. Open the batch to review them. |

### Turn browser notifications off or on [#turn-browser-notifications-off-or-on]

Notifications from ApparelAI are controlled by your browser's settings for app.apparelai.studio. In most browsers, click the icon at the left of the address bar while you're on ApparelAI, then change **Notifications**. Menu names vary between browsers.

If you block notifications there, ApparelAI can't show them until you allow them again.

## In the mobile app [#in-the-mobile-app]

The ApparelAI app can send push notifications to your phone when your generations finish:

- **Finished generations**, such as a photoshoot that's ready to view.
- **Important account updates.**



### Turn push notifications on [#turn-push-notifications-on]

Depending on your phone, the app may ask whether it can send you notifications. If you allowed them, you're all set. If you said no, or never saw the question, turn them on in your phone's settings.

### Turn push notifications off [#turn-push-notifications-off]

Go to the same place in your phone's settings and turn notifications off. Your generations still finish as usual. You'll find the results when you next open the app, for example in your [projects](/library/projects).

## Not getting notifications? [#not-getting-notifications]

**On the web:**

- A finished photoshoot only sends a notification when the ApparelAI tab is in the background.
- Check that notifications are allowed for app.apparelai.studio in your browser's site settings.
- Check that your computer isn't silencing notifications, for example with a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode.
- If you clicked **Cancel** on **Get notified when it's ready**, ApparelAI asks again after about 15 days.

**In the mobile app:**

- Check that notifications are turned on for ApparelAI in your phone's settings.
- On iPhone and iPad, check that a Focus mode, such as Do Not Disturb, isn't silencing them.
- On Android, check that battery saver or battery optimization isn't restricting ApparelAI.
- Update the app to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
