# Product library (https://docs.apparelai.app/library/products)

**Products** is your library of garments. Upload a photo once, or import product photos from a store link, and you can shoot that garment again whenever you like without uploading it again.

<LinkButton href="https://app.apparelai.studio/products">Open Products</LinkButton>

To open it, click **Products** in the sidebar.

## Upload a product [#upload-a-product]

<Steps>
<Step>
### Open Products [#open-products]

Click **Products** in the sidebar.
</Step>
<Step>
### Choose a photo [#choose-a-photo]

Click **Upload Photos**, or drag a photo onto the box that says **Drag & drop or click to upload**.
</Step>
<Step>
### Wait for the upload [#wait-for-the-upload]

The button shows **Uploading...** while the photo uploads. The new product then appears under **Your Products**.
</Step>
</Steps>

- **File types:** JPG, PNG and WEBP. iPhone HEIC photos work too, even though HEIC isn't listed.
- **One photo per upload:** if you drop several files at once, only the first one is uploaded.
- **Too big?** If you see **File too large**, use a smaller photo.

Front-facing, well-lit photos work best. See [Prepare your garment photos](/getting-started/garment-photos).

On a small screen, the buttons read **Upload** and **Import**.

### Other ways to add a product [#other-ways-to-add-a-product]

- **While you create a photoshoot:** in the **Product** step, click **Upload new product (front side)**. It takes JPG, PNG and WEBP photos up to 25 MB, and the photo uploads when you click **Continue**. You can add a back photo at the same time. See [Create a photoshoot](/photoshoots/create-a-photoshoot).
- **In saree, salwar kameez and shirt modes:** the **Product** step has a slot for each part, such as **Saree Body**, **Blouse** and **Pallu**. The parts are saved together as one product. See [Garment modes](/garment-modes).
- **In a Bulk Photoshoot:** add each garment's photos in its own product row. Uploading there uses no credits. See [Bulk photoshoot](/photoshoots/bulk-photoshoot).
- **From Home:** under **Quick Actions**, click **Upload Product**. After you pick a photo, it's uploaded and opens straight away in a new project.

## Import from a product page [#import-from-a-product-page]

If a garment is already listed online, import its photos from the product page instead of downloading and uploading them yourself. The import works with Shopify and WooCommerce stores, and with any other product page.

<Callout type="info" title="One product page at a time">
The **Shopify**, **WooCommerce** and **Other Store** tabs on the Products page show **Connect Store**, but they open the same **Import from Store URL** dialog as the other import buttons. Nothing is connected to your store: you import one product page at a time, and changes on your store don't sync to ApparelAI.
</Callout>

<Steps>
<Step>
### Open the import dialog [#open-the-import-dialog]

On the **Products** page, click **Import from Store**. You can also click **Import from Store** under **Quick Actions** on **Home**. The **Import from Store URL** dialog opens.
</Step>
<Step>
### Paste the product page link [#paste-the-product-page-link]

Copy the link of the product page from your browser's address bar, paste it into the dialog, then click **Fetch** or press Enter.
</Step>
<Step>
### Choose the photos [#choose-the-photos]

The dialog shows the product's name and its photos, all selected. Untick any photos you don't want, or use **Select all** and **Deselect all**.
</Step>
<Step>
### Import them [#import-them]

Click the import button, for example **Import 3 Selected**. It shows **Importing...** while it works.
</Step>
</Steps>

Each photo you import becomes its own product. It's named after the photo's description on the page or the page title, or **Imported Product** if there's neither. You can [rename it](#rename-a-product) afterwards.

<Callout type="idea">
If a product page has several photos of the same garment, import only the clearest front photo. You can add a back photo later in the photoshoot wizard. See [Add a back photo](#add-a-back-photo).

If you see **Failed to fetch images**, open the link in your browser to check it goes to a single product page, then try again. If you typed a link into the panel on the Products page, paste it again in the dialog: the dialog starts empty.

## Search your product library [#search-your-product-library]

Your products are listed under **Your Products**.

- **Search:** type in **Search products...** to find a product by name.
- **Grid or list:** switch views with the grid and list icons. The list shows **Name**, **Source**, **Date**, **Status** and **Actions**.
- **More products** load as you scroll down.

## Work with a product [#work-with-a-product]

In grid view, hover over a product to see its buttons.

| Button | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| **Shoot** | Starts a photoshoot with this product selected and takes you to the **Model** step. Clicking the product photo does the same. |
| Eye icon (**View image**) | Shows the photo full screen. Press Esc to close it. |
| Pencil icon | Opens **Product Details**. |
| Trash icon | Deletes the product after you confirm. |

In list view, the same actions are in the **Actions** column: the camera icon starts a shoot, the pencil opens the details and the trash icon deletes. Click a product's name to open its details.

### Product Details [#product-details]

**Product Details** opens on the right. It shows the photo, the product's **Name**, **Source**, **Status** and **Created** date. To shoot the product, click **Generate Photo Shoot**. You can't edit the product or add photos here.

### Rename a product [#rename-a-product]

Double-click the product's name on its card and type the new name. Press Enter or click ✓ to save, or press Esc or click X to cancel.

### Delete a product [#delete-a-product]

Click the trash icon, then confirm in the **Delete Product** dialog.

## Add a back photo [#add-a-back-photo]

You can't add a back photo on the Products page. Add it in the photoshoot wizard's **Product** step, or in a Bulk Photoshoot. The back photo is used when you pick a back-view pose, such as **Back View**, so the back of the garment shows its real design.

<Steps>
<Step>
### Start a photoshoot [#start-a-photoshoot]

Click **+ New Photo Shoot** in the sidebar. The wizard opens on the **Product** step.
</Step>
<Step>
### Pick the product [#pick-the-product]

Choose the product under **All products**, or upload a new front photo with **Upload new product (front side)**.
</Step>
<Step>
### Add the back photo [#add-the-back-photo]

Click **Back side (optional)** and choose the photo.
</Step>
</Steps>

- **Saved product:** the back photo is uploaded to the product straight away. Next time, the tile reads **Added. Used for back-view poses, click to replace.**
- **New upload:** the back photo uploads together with the front photo when you click **Continue**.

If you started from **Shoot** on the Products page, the wizard opens on the **Model** step. Click **1 Product** at the top to go back and add the back photo.

The **Back side (optional)** tile is in the standard and dupatta modes. Saree, salwar kameez and shirt modes have their own part slots instead.

In a [Bulk Photoshoot](/photoshoots/bulk-photoshoot), each product row has an optional **Back photo** slot in the standard and dupatta modes.

## Use a product in a photoshoot [#use-a-product-in-a-photoshoot]

- On the **Products** page, click **Shoot** on the product, or **Generate Photo Shoot** in **Product Details**. **Create Photo Shoot** opens with the product selected, on the **Model** step.
- In the wizard's **Product** step, pick it under **All products**. Use **Search products...** to find it.
- In a [Bulk Photoshoot](/photoshoots/bulk-photoshoot), click **Choose saved products**. All the product's reference photos come with it.

To make more photos from a shoot you've already done, you can also reopen its [project](/library/projects).
